The focus in Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia) is on metal, castings, metal construction, forged parts, plastics and electronics.

After the success of previous editions, BME is excited to organise Purchasing Initiative Maghreb once again. "This means that our buyers can once more participate in a major international matchmaking event in 2023. This will give them direct access to suppliers in exciting procurement markets. We are proud to be able to organize the purchasing initiative again in 2023 on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and together with the Chambers of Commerce Abroad of Maghreb," emphasizes Olaf Holzgrefe, Head of International at BME. Purchasing initiatives have now established themselves as best practice events at BME.

With Purchasing Initiative Maghreb, BME is already entering its third round as part of the market development programme for SMEs (MEP). "North Africa is on our doorstep. Morocco in particular is currently positioning itself as a partner for Europe in the automotive or energy sectors," explains Holzgrefe.

BME International and its AHK partners will again place in focus needs and requirements of German purchasing at matchmaking events in 2023. "Our aim is to find the best partners for German buyers. The  initiative has a hybrid character, combining physical meetings, events in Germany and digital B2B conversations," Holzgrefe adds.

First steps to participate in this event 

➀ Register first as buyer or supplier for BME Matchmaking Service free of charge.
➁ Fill out and send the questionnaire to BME. Mark the events you are interested in.
➂ BME will inform you as soon as you get access to the profiles, can select your preferred B2B partners and
    register for the events.
